Machine Knitters Guild

Burlington, On

Our next meeting is Tuesday, November 7th, beginning at 7:00 pm. Rosanne will show us how to make buttonholes and buttonbands. Check the Program page for information on our Large Project Challenge which is due at the December Christmas dinner.

We need volunteers to serve as our two Co-chairs and Programmer for 2018 so please consider doing your part to keep our Guild going.

We would love to see your show & tell, especially if it is made from the yarn you dyed last month. Remember to check for any outstanding library books.

The Burlington Machine Knitters Guild is a group of people who are dedicated to keeping the art and craft of machine knitting alive and flourishing. We do this by a variety of means including guest speakers, member demonstrations, field trips, video displays and group discussion.

Members help and encourage each other by providing support and helpful tips and advice. Our members include all skill levels from beginner to highly skilled teachers and designers. We knit on all makes and models of machines.

The yearly membership fee of $45 gives you access to a library and full participation in the Guild activities. We invite you to attend a meeting or two as a guest before deciding to join the Guild. Membership fee is non-refundable.

Meeting Highlights:
• extensive library of books, magazines and videos which are available for members
• well-planned demonstrations both by members and guest speakers
• show and tell of knitted items or stories of successes which inspire and encourage special techniques
• refreshments and sweets at a nominal fee
• raffles of yarn and magazines
• sales table of knitting items
